Escape Sydney in your own luxury Mercedes for a full day private Hunter Valley tour that takes the scenic way in. Instead of the freeway, we wind through the historic village of Wollombi before arriving in one of Australia's oldest wine regions.
Your day starts at Historic Wollombi for coffee then a complimentary tasting at Allandale Winery, known for boutique Semillon and Shiraz. After a relaxed pub lunch at Harrigan's Hunter Valley, the afternoon is yours to shape, with well known cellar doors like Brokenwood Wines, McGuigan Wines or Audrey Wilkinson on the list.
Lunch and further tastings are at your own expense, with plenty of venues to choose from on a flexible itinerary.
The vehicle, the day and the itinerary are exclusively yours, with no strangers and no rushing to keep up with a group. You travel in a climate controlled Mercedes V-Class with WiFi and chilled water, with the same local guide all day and more than 17 years of Australian tour industry experience.

We pickup from your hotel in Sydney CBD between 7:50 - 8:00 AM. Time will be advised prior. If outside the CBD, please get in touch upon booking to arrange a suitable location within the CBD.

1Wollombi
Leave the main roads behind and take the road less travelled to historic Wollombi, a small village in the heart of the Wollombi Valley. It sits on the convict built Great North Road, which reached the village in the 1830s, and for years it was the busiest settlement in the district, with its own court house, hotels, bank and post office. Today the heritage buildings are still standing, and you can wander the village at your own pace. There is no group to keep up with and no rush to get back on the bus. Your private driver will drop you in the centre of town so you can look around, take photos and soak up the atmosphere of a place most visitors never see. While you are there, stop for a taste of Dr Jurds Jungle Juice, a local favourite you will not find on the usual tour route.

2Hunter Valley
Australia's oldest wine region, the Hunter Valley is renowned for world-class Semillon and Shiraz. Located 2 hours north of Sydney, this private tour explores boutique wineries, craft distilleries, and gourmet produce in the heart of wine country. Visit hand-picked venues including Allandale Winery, McGuigan Wines at Roche Estate, and Pokolbin Distillery for an intimate, owner-operated experience away from the crowds.

5Brokenwood Wines
Option to stop at Brokenwood Wines (own expense), Today it is one of the Hunter Valley's most respected names, known for its Semillon and Shiraz. Your private driver takes you to the cellar door, where you can taste at your own pace in the modern tasting area, or stop for a drink or a bite at the on-site wine bar and restaurant. There is no group to keep up with and no rush to move on. Tastings not included.

6McGuigan Wines
Optional stop to continue to McGuigan Wines (own expense) at the striking Roche Estate complex, one of the Hunter's most iconic family winemakers with over 100 years of history. 7Pokolbin
Pokolbin is the heart of Hunter Valley wine country, and one of the best known wine regions in Australia.
