Your adventure begins with pickup from your hotel or Manas Airport in Bishkek. After meeting your local guide and driver, drive east toward the Burana Tower
Burana Tower, one of Kyrgyzstan’s most important historical monuments dating back to the 10th century. Explore the open-air museum filled with ancient balbals (stone warrior statues) and learn about the Silk Road city of Balasagun.
Afterward, continue through the green pastures and small mountain villages of Chon-Kemin National Park, a hidden gem famous for its alpine forests and peaceful valley. Upon arrival, enjoy a 2-hour horseback ride through the valley, surrounded by mountain views.
After breakfast, set off toward Issyk-Kul Lake
Driving and stopping at the spectacular Kok-Moinok Canyon. Here, you’ll walk among red-sandstone formations shaped by centuries of wind and rain — a perfect place for photography and short hikes.
Continue your scenic journey toward Karakol, a charming town at the eastern tip of the lake. Upon arrival, visit the Dungan Mosque, built entirely of wood without nails, and the Russian Orthodox Church with its colorful domes.
This day is packed with natural wonders
Drive to Jeti-Oguz Gorge, known for its red rock formations called the Seven Bulls and the Broken Heart.
Continue to Barskoon Valley, where waterfalls tumble down from snow-capped peaks — a favorite spot for photos.
After lunch, travel along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake to Skazka Canyon (Fairy Tale Canyon). Its colorful cliffs resemble castles, dragons, and deserts — a surreal landscape shaped by nature.
By evening, arrive in Bokonbaevo village where you’ll stay in a traditional yurt camp beside the lake. Enjoy local meals and stargaze by the fire.
In the morning, witness a breathtaking eagle-hunting demonstration — a centuries-old Kyrgyz tradition. Meet a local berkutchi (eagle hunter) who will show you how golden eagles are trained to hunt foxes and hares. Afterward, visit the nearby Ak-Sai Canyon, where red and yellow cliffs drop dramatically toward the turquoise lake below.
Enjoy short hikes and photo stops before beginning your return drive to Bishkek, passing through mountain passes and rural villages.
After breakfast, travel to Ala-Archa National Park
Breathtaking alpine gorge located just 40 km from the capital. Spend the morning hiking along mountain trails, admiring glaciers, rivers, and juniper forests.
Enjoy lunch at Supara Ethno Complex, one of Bishkek’s most beautiful traditional restaurants designed like an ancient nomadic village. Then head to the Sky Bridge, a scenic spot offering panoramic views and thrilling photo opportunities.
