At 5:45 a.m., your guide will be waiting for you at the meeting spot in Drake Bay (Agujitas de Drake). Once the whole group is together, we’ll leave at 6:00 a.m. and head to Corcovado National Park. The boat ride takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Howlanders’ Tip: If you tend to get seasick, it’s best to sit at the back of the boat and consider taking medication to prevent it if needed. Also, sitting on the left side gives you a great view of the coastline. By 8:00 a.m., we’ll be inside the park, just in time to see the animals when they’re most active early in the morning!

After about four hours of hiking, we’ll begin our return to the beach where we entered the park, and the boat will be waiting for us there. If time allows on the way back, we’ll have the chance to see the stunning "La Llorona" waterfall, which flows directly into the ocean.

We’ll arrive back at the beach near Drake Bay around 1:30 p.m., where we’ll enjoy lunch together at a beachfront restaurant. If you’ve read about typical Costa Rican cuisine, you know that good rice and beans are a must. After lunch, we’ll say goodbye to the guide and the rest of the group, marking the end of the tour. You’ll be just a short walk away from your accommodation in Agujitas de Drake.
