Experience the beauty and stillness of Powell Butte Nature Park with a guided hike followed by a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. We'll begin with a gentle walk through meadows and forested trails, learning about the volcanic origins of the butte and the diverse native flora and fauna. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of the Cascade peaks, spot local wildlife, and hear stories that connect geology, ecology, and Indigenous history. At the summit, we’ll gather for a serene Gong Fu Cha tea ceremony beneath the trees. As you sip carefully prepared oolong or pu-erh tea, a tea guide will share the philosophy and rhythm of this ancient practice. You'll have time to reflect, connect, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. This unique experience blends movement, mindfulness, and storytelling for a memorable afternoon in nature. All tea materials are provided; please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Suitable for most fitness levels.
We meet at the main parking lot.
