Itinerary

    Day 1

    Drive (Kathmandu -Beshisare-Dharapani)

    It’s the first day of the trek and early in the morning, you will be heading towards Besi Sahar by bus. Before launching, make sure that you have all you essentials and belongings that you will be needing for the trek. On the way, you will make stops where you can have breakfast and lunch too. It will be a 4-5 hour drive from Pokhara and 6-7 hrs from Kathmandu. so be sure that you are well rested from the day before. When you reach Besi Sahar, we will take a jeep to Dharapani and it is around 3-4hrs . You will have dinner in a teahouse and rest.

  • Day 2

    Trek to Chame

    Chame

    On the second day, you will go to Chame from Dharapani . You will continue to the Danaque village and Tamang village where houses are made out of stones and slate roofs. Throughout the trek , you are offered magnificent views of Manalsu(8163m), Annapurna(8091m), and other surrounding peaks too. You will also cross local villages like Thanchowk and Koto where in the end you will finally reach Chame which falls under the Manang region. After reaching Chame, you will roam around the village for the day which is also great for acclimatization. You will have dinner and then rest in a teahouse.

    Trek to Pisang

    Today, you will be leaving Chame and heading toward Pisang. You will trek through Telkhu enjoying the magnificent views of Annapurna, Mt.Pisang, and Paungda Dada. You will also cross the Marsyangdi River through a suspension bridge, ascend through pine forests and the upper parts of Manang Valley and then finally reach Pisang. With fewer people being in the village the place is located in the Marshyangdi River valley. Pisang is also known as the last human settlement for those planning to trek the Pisang Peak.. You will have dinner here and accommodate for the day.

    Trek to Ngawal

    It’s the 4th day of the trek and today you will be trekking towards Ngawal. The trek will take us approximately 6-8 hours to reach Ngawal. Ngawal is a beautiful village with a less human settlement. The majority of the people are Tibetan and Buddhist. There are ancient caves like the Guru Rinpoche where you can visit and dig deeper into Tibetan culture even more. You will have dinner in Ngawal’s teahouse and rest there for the day.

    Trek to Manang

    Manang

    Today’s journey will take you to a dramatic shift as you go to the Manang Valley. The landscapes are beautiful and also snowy peaks on the side and rocky grounds below your feet. You will start slow because you are going to a high-altitude region today. You will reach Mananag in 4-5 hours after passing through Ghyaru and Braga village. You will stay in Manang today.

    Rest day at Manang

    Today is acclimatization day in Manang so you don’t have to trek today but we will visit around Manang Village and hike to Gangapurna lake . This type of acclimatization is done in between treks so that you don’t get affected by altitude sickness and so that you can become more familiar with the high altitude. Manang is a beautiful village where you can find Tibetan Buddhists in the majority. You will get to know more about the culture and enjoy their warm hospitality. There are serval monasteries and chhortens all around the village where you can visit during the day time. You can also hike a bit and get to the Pakhrin Viewpoint and enjoy the beautiful scenery from a height.

    Trek to Tilicho Base Camp

    It’s day 7 and today you will be heading towards the Tilicho Base Camp(3900m). You will leave Manang today and pass through Kahnshar village. You will trek for 6-8 hours today and reach the Base Camp by evening. You will enjoy local Nepali or Tibetan cuisines and rest after a long day of trekking in a teahouse.

    Trek to Tilicho Lake -Sri Kharka

    Tilichol Lake

    Just like the other days Day 8 is a long journey but yet worth it as you will be visiting Tilicho Lake today. Visiting Tilicho Lake is a major highlight of the whole trek. Tilicho Lake is located at a height of 4,919 meters which is also known as one of the highest lakes in Nepal. Bright blue water at banks of icy peaks is something one will never forget in a lifetime. After roaming around and taking pictures from the banks of the river, you will descend to Shree Kharka and rest there today.

    Trek to Ledar

    You will witness the beautiful Tilicho and SriKharka behind and head towards Ledar. Ledar is a small village with lots of local shops and small cafes. Enjoy the beautiful scenarios of the surrounding peaks and have dinner here. You will not take trekking to a strenuous level today as you will be resting for the day here after dinner.

    Trek to Thorong High Camp

    In the morning, you will head towards Thorong High Camp which can be a bit strenuous for some trekkers. After having breakfast in Ledar, you will head towards the Thorong High Camp which is situated at a height of 4,880 meters. This High Camp connects Manang and Mustang village to the east. Thorong La is also known as the highest point in the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Hence, trekkers must be in the sense that their body is feeling some kind of weakness or unusual as one might be a victim of altitude sickness.

    Trek to Muktinath vai Thorong La pass

    Today is the last day you have to trek and it also can be considered as the most challenging one. You will wake up early in the morning and cross paths via Thorong La Pass which is at a height of 5,416 meters. You will reach Muktinath Temple which is a great pilgrimage site for the Hindus and Buddhists as well. The temple is located at 3,800 meters and is also known as one of the highest mountains in the world. After a full day of trekking and strolling around the Mustang region, you will settle down in a lodge in the Muktinath area. Downside the temple, there is a local market from where you can purchase souvenirs for you or your loved ones before leaving the Mustang region.

    Drive to Pokhara by Bus

    Pokhara Lakeside

    It’s the day our journey ends. Hope you had a good one and enjoyed the trek. Today, you will head towards Pokhara in the morning, the way there can be a bit hectic at sometimes as the roads are still underdeveloped. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will bid goodbye to each other. Do not hesitate to contact us one more time if you want to trek more destinations with an attractive itinerary.
