    Located in the fishing village of Río San Juan, the Gri-Gri Lagoon is one of the largest bird sanctuaries in the country. We'll take a boat ride on this calm lagoon flanked by mangroves as we pass through narrow channels that eventually flow into the sea. We will make a stop at the Cueva de Las Golondrinas, in front of a shallow turquoise cove where you can take a bath. The tour ends at the magical Playa Caletón to enjoy one of the wonderful beaches of Río San Juan.

    Fortaleza San Felipe

    Upon arrival in Puerto Plata we will visit the San Felipe Fortress, built by the Spanish in the 16th century to defend the north coast of the country from the English and Dutch, as well as the French pirates who came in search of abundant gold. and local silver. It is considered one of the most important colonial military structures in the Caribbean, it was completed in 1577 and later served as a prison until the years of the dictator Trujillo. Today it is a museum displaying the original cannons facing the Atlantic, ancient weapons, and numerous secret chambers.
