    Tremezzina is one of the largest and most fascinating towns on the western branch of Lake Como. Rich in history, art and culture, it also offers some of the most evocative sceneries of the Lake Centre: the Comacina Island, the only island on Lake Como, the wooded promontory of Dosso del Lavedo with the marvellous villa of Balbianello, the medieval corner of Ossuccio, Sala Comacina and Lenno.

    Visit on request. Villa del Balbianello is located on a wooded promontory, offering an enchanted view of Lake Como. This elegant, romantic 18th century mansion and its magnificent garden have hosted writers, scholars and travelers, including Count Guido Monzino, the last owner of the Villa. Closed on Monday and Wednesday.
