Lemon Pastry optical illusion called on french a “Trompe l’Oeil” becomes popular on 2015 thanks to Cedric Grolet french Pastry chef who won the price as Best Pastry Chef of the Year. It takes some time to make them but totally worth it.

We developed this experience using simple ingredients, for you to reproduce them at home. And to learn you the technique behind this famous french pastry.

The experience takes place into a private Parisian apartment next to Picasso museum, on a 5th floor with no elevator. Instructions for the venue are on the ticket of your final reservation (a link with entrance code and picture of the venue)

What to expect

For one hour and a half, you will learn everything about "Lemon Pastry optical illusion. The famous Cedric Grolet Lemon pastry Trompe l’Oeil".---
We will start from "la mise en place" then we will travel together over techniques to achieve a lemon fruit pastry optical illusion, that you will be able to do after this class. You will learn:
-Fillings preparation: ganache monté, lemon cream and insert
-Lemon Assembly
-Coating and painting techniques

Come and join us, on this unique French baking class which it will be a hand-on activity for making a Lemon Pastry optical illusion.

These experience is done backward, i.e lemon shape used is the one done by the previous group as it need to cool down at least 8h.

Only guests who reserved are permitted to attend and participate at the workshop.

At the end of class you will bring one lemon with you and taste together the one done by instructor.
