After early breakfast, you drive to Dhanding Besi, the district headquarter of Dhading. The road is smooth and well-paved. You will see scenic views and the Trishuli River along the journey. From Dhanding Besi, the road split toward Arughat Bazaar. The onward journey is dusty and bumpy. You will pass through rural communities, small towns, green terraces, and lush hillsides. You see beautiful landscapes with views of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh, and Langtang Himal. You reach Machha Khola via Soti Khola, a major town on the bank of the Budhi Gandaki River. Soti Khola is an hour’s drive from Arughat.
After breakfast, your trek begins to Jagat. The trail goes through the gorge and continues along the river. The trail is narrow and goes gently ups and downs. You cross Tharo Khola before reaching Khorla Besi. Khorla Besi is a small Gurung village from where you can see beautiful views of Manaslu. From Khorla Besi, you have to take the steep climb and reach Tatopani; Hot Spring. You again climb up another ridge and cross the Budhi Gandaki River on a suspension bridge. Then you reach Dovan. From Dovan, you cross another suspension bridge over the Yaru Khola. You climb the stone staircase and approach Tharo Bharyang. Finally, you cross the Budhi Gandaki River, walk over the ridge, and climb to Jagat. From Jagat, the restricted area trekking begins.
After breakfast at Jagat, your trek begins climbing over the rocky ridge to Salleri. From here, you descend to Sardibas. The trail gets a little widen as you walk to Ghatte Khola. Continue walking upstream to a long suspension bridge and reach Philim. It is a large Gurung village with a pleasant view of the naturalness. The trail turns north and traverses terraced fields to Ekle Bhatti. You enter a steep, deserted gorge and descend to the grassy land slope. Keep crossing Budhi Gandaki River for some time. The wide trail goes through a bamboo forest to Deng Khola. Upon crossing the Khola, you reach Deng, a tiny village. Today, you trek through various landscapes and sub-tropical forests. On the way, you traverse various remote villages and small rivers.
After breakfast, you walk through a forest and cross the Budhi Gandaki River. You climb to Rana and the further climb will take you to Bhi. The trail goes to the west of Budhi Gandaki valley which traverses through forests and mani. Then you approach Prok village. There is a viewpoint from where you can see Siring Himal. We pass through various villages and several gompas. You follow the upstream trail and traverse the dense forest. Crossing the river, the trail enters to narrow gorge. You continue the pleasant walk and the final steep climb takes you to Namrung. Namrung is a lovely village where you get a glimpse of life and culture. You get a good view of Siring and Ganesh Himal.
Namrung is a good viewpoint for Siring, Ganesh Himal & Himal Chuli to the south. Take a stroll around the village and enjoy the view. After breakfast, you climb and pass-through forests and reach Lihi, a fine village. There are many chortens and barley terraces. The trail drops and crosses the Simnang Himal Valley. You pass through Sho, Lho, and reach Syala village. On the way, you can see Mt Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Ganesh Himal, and Peak 29. You can also explore Ribung Gompa, a Buddhist monastery in Lho village.
Early in the morning, you hike to Pungen monastery where you get a chance to experience the high mountain Buddhism practice while enjoying the view of the surrounding. Pungyen Gompa is an old gompa nearby Samagaon. You find a great view of the glacier from here. You trek to Samagaon and rest.
Today is acclimatization day at Samagaon. You sleep, relax and take a break from a week-long tiresome walk. You acclimatized your body from altitude-related illness. Have your breakfast and enjoy your free day. For those who want to explore, there is an optional day hike to Birendra Lake. You explore the Sherpa village and the Sherpa culture. You can find thousands of mani stones with Buddhist mantras & pictures inscribed. You see Sherpa women in their traditional attire with ornaments.
Today is a short trek and you descend to Budhi Gandaki River and continue the trail. The trail gets widened and you pass through several mani walls. You will have an amazing mountain view as you get closer to the Tibetan border. The trek is easy with great views. You traverse through Juniper and Birch forests in Kermo Kharka. Drop down and cross the Budhi Gandaki River. You keep walking until you find Samdo Village. The village is near to Tibet. You might find Yak Caravan with loads coming from Tibet. Visit local villages and enjoy your time at Samdo.
After breakfast, you walk through Larke Bazaar, a seasonal Tibetan market. Then, you descend to the Budhi Gandaki River. You cross the wooden bridge and climb up crossing two streams. You can see Larke Glacier before you head around the Salka Khola Valley. You climb uphill and see a stone house/shelter house which is Dharmasala. It is not a lodge for guests. Dharmasala is also known as Larke Phedi. On the way, you will see many Buddhist traditional monasteries and amazing landscapes. Upon reaching Dharmasala, take a rest and acclimatize.
Today is the most challenging day of the trek. You pass through remote villages, beautiful valleys, and landscapes. You will see amazing glacier lakes, a wide range of flora & fauna, and mountains. After early breakfast, the short climb takes you to the valley on the north side of the Larke Glacier. From here, you can enjoy the views of Cho Danda and Larke Peak. You walk across the moraine of the glacier. The trail starts to get steeper until you reach the pass. Larke La is the highest point in the Manaslu Circuit Trek. The panoramic view of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal & Annapurna II is outstanding from the pass. While descending to Bimthang, you can see huge icefalls and mountains.
After breakfast in Bimthang, you walk to the nearby ridge. From there, you can enjoy great views of Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal, and Cheo Himal. You descend the ridge and cross a high pasture (Sangure Kharka). Cross the bridge over Dudh Khola and walk through the rhododendron forest. You follow a trail through a narrow valley until you reach the highest cultivated land at Karche. Take a steep climb over a ridge and a short walk takes you to Gho Village. You continue to walk until you reach Tilje.
After breakfast, you climb over a small ridge and descend to reach Tal. You cross the Dudh Khola and climb a stupa-shaped arch and reach Thonje Village. You continue to walk to Dharapani where your Manaslu Circuit Trek ends. From here, you enter Annapurna Conservation Area. You trek down until you reach Tal, a beautiful village.
Today is the final day of your trek. You trek down to reach Syage. You trek slowly and easily to reach Syage. You cherish the moments of your last day trek.
Drive Syage to Kathmandu via Besisahar. You will be driving along the banks fo Marshyandi & Trishuli Rivers. You drive by some beautiful villages and enjoy hills & mountainscapes. You will arrive late evening and be escorted to the hotel. To celebrate the successful completion of the journey, you will have a farewell dinner.
