The biggest number of activities on a 12 hours tour including jungle trekking, swim with pink dolphins, have lunch with a local family, fish for piranhas, search for caymans (alligators) and much more.
Be picked up from Manaus in your hotel. Please share your WhatsApp number because that's the way we will contact you to set the pickup If your hotel is not on the list you must take an uber and meet us near the Amazonas Theater downtown Manaus at 8am.
Make sure your WhatsApp is working because that's how we will connect
We start around 8am from your hotel and drive west from Manaus for about one hour to the Castanho lake where our host will take you by motorized canoe (no cover typical slow amazonian transport) heading to the jungle where we’ll start a 2-3 hours hike to learn about Amazonian fauna and flora, like medicinal plants, jungle survival etc. We can't promise you'll see animals because our jungle is very dense and most of our creatures are small, but we will try to show you as much as Mother Nature allows us. (for this part of the tour you must wear long pants, closed toed shoes. Bring also a rain coat and insect repellent much needed during our wet season)
Now we ride to a platform where a project is held for protection and research about pink river dolphins, in this place we’ll have the unique opportunity to learn about these friendly beautiful creatures and enter the water to interact with them. (you must bring your swimming suits and towels)
We will have lunch at a floating house and relax before heading to the next activities. Normally we serve fish or chicken, rice, beans, manioc floor and some vegetables (simple means. We can't provide special food).
During the wet season (March through August) we have the forests flooded and during the dry season we navigate through the small canals that are formed in the region. Along this ride ride we search for a good spot to stop and fish for the famous and ferocious piranhas as we enjoy the beauty of the region. (make sure you have a hat, rain coat, sunscreen and insect repellent).
We will search for a good spot to marvel the most beautiful sunset and see how the nature goes to sleep giving room for the creatures that wake up as the night falls. Once the sun sets we go searching for the nocturnal creatures and with luck we can get really close to some of them like the caymans for instance. (you can bring a flashlight for this moment). We start heading back to Manaus around 7:30pm arriving to your hotel around 8:30pm when all you will want is a shower and bed ;)
