    from your hotel in Manaus around 8:00 AM. A short drive west takes us to the stunning Lake Acajatuba, where we hop on a canoe and cruise to our rustic riverside lodge. After dropping off your bags, enjoy a scenic boat ride to get familiar with the surrounding

    In the afternoon, we canoe quietly through creeks and lakes, searching for wildlife like birds, monkeys, and even sloths (no guarantees — animals roam free here!). Next, test your skills piranha fishing — catch one and it might be on your dinner plate tonight! As night falls, we return to the water in search of caymans and nocturnal animals. The jungle comes alive with sound. Look up — the Amazon night sky is breathtaking.

    After breakfast, it’s time for an authentic jungle survival hike. Learn to set traps, identify medicinal plants, and discover ancient techniques used by native people.

    ‍ In the afternoon, visit a local riverside family. Discover their way of life, explore their plantations, and learn how they make manioc flour — a staple food of Amazonian culture. Next, we visit a dolphin research platform dedicated to studying and protecting the rare pink river dolphins.

    We rise before dawn to witness the Amazon sunrise — a magical moment as the jungle awakens. After breakfast, we leave the lodge and head to a new stretch of the Negro River.
