Ah, the beautiful Vjosa River—one of the last wild rivers in Europe! Where it flows: The Vjosa runs for about 270 km, starting in Greece (where it’s called the Aoös) and winding its way through southern Albania before pouring into the Adriatic Sea near Vlorë. It passes near places like Përmet, Tepelenë, and close to Gjirokastra, so it’s a perfect addition to your tour! Why it’s special: The Vjosa is untamed—no major dams, no concrete walls. Just crystal-clear water rushing through canyons, meandering across wide plains, and shaping an ever-changing landscape. It’s home to over 1,100 species and has become a symbol for eco-activism in Albania and Europe.

At Përmet Thermal Baths, you'll find natural hot springs with mineral-rich, warm water, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Langarica Canyon. Expect to see several pools built into the rock, with a charming Ottoman-era bridge nearby. Bring a swimsuit, towel and waterproof sandals, as the area can be muddy and there are limited changing facilities
