Tour Itinerary

1️⃣ Lekuresi Castle

Our first destination is the Lekuresi Castle, a striking fortress dating back to the 16th century. Built in a square shape with two round towers positioned diagonally, the castle offers panoramic views of Saranda, the Ionian Sea, and the nearby Greek island of Corfu.
2️⃣ The Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër)

Next, we’ll visit the Blue Eye Spring, one of Albania’s most captivating natural wonders. The crystal-clear water bubbles up from deep within the earth, creating a mesmerizing deep blue “eye” surrounded by lush greenery.

3️⃣ Butrint National Park

Our final stop is the Butrint National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases layers of history from ancient civilizations. Here, you’ll explore:
The Roman theatre
The Temple of Asclepius
The aqueduct
The Byzantine church

Strolling through the park feels like traveling through time — from the Hellenistic period to Roman and Byzantine eras — all set amidst tranquil natural scenery.

Following a period of prosperity under Byzantine administration, then a brief occupation by the Venetians, the city was abandoned in the late Middle Ages after marshes formed in the area.
