This tour will take you on a pilgrimage to some of the most sacred locations in the Hungarian capital and educate you about the traditions of one of the oldest Christian countries in the world. Bear with us and explore the grandiose interior of St. Stephen’s Basilica and find out how our first king built a legitimate Christian kingdom from a handful of Central-Asian tribes.
For hundreds of years, Hungary was known as one of the strongest bastions of the Christian world and rightly so: this small Central European country had the spirit to defy the mighty Ottoman Empire, fought for its beliefs under Habsburg rule and endure religious persecution under communism for 40 years.
