The 6 Days Rwanda Uganda Wildlife Safari offers the opportunity to trek golden monkeys at Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda before travelling onwards to Uganda for gorilla trekking at Bwindi National Park.

A Bamboo Ecotours guide will pick you up in Kigali between 9am & 11am and drive to Volcanoes National Park. Visit Kinigi for Ibyi'wacu cultural experience at Volcanoes National Park. Alternatively, before driving from Kigali, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and Museum. The drive from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park is estimated at 3hrs.
We will start the day with a morning golden monkey trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda immediately after the golden monkey trekking activity.
We will transfer to Bwindi National Park for dinner and overnight. We will drive through the Rwanda-Uganda border at Cyanika.
You will head to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct the presentation that covers the basics of what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take from few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. After the gorilla trek, we will drive back to the lodge. An optional community activity in the afternoon is available for booking.
We will start the journey in the morning from Bwindi National Park and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The tour will take you through the stunning landscapes of western Uganda. You will arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon. An afternoon game drive is scheduled at the Kasenyi plains.
Kasenyi Plains game drive: You will start the day with early morning breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, we proceed to the famed Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various species of wild animals. Kasenyi plains dwell in the vast savannahs of the Albertine rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park. It will be a morning full of adventure! Expect to encounter lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, topi, and bushbucks. While spotting the "Big Five" in the park is not guaranteed, on a lucky day, you may site leopards to make it the "Big Four." We will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, join the Kazinga channel boat cruise for an afternoon of wild game viewing. You will spot crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a wide range of bird species on the channel waters.
After early morning breakfast, we will drive to the Kalinzu forest to experience trekking the chimpanzees in their forest home. If you are lucky on the trek, you might encounter other different species of monkeys in Kalinzu forest. These include colobus monkey, olive baboon, and red-tailed monkey. Transfer to Kigali after the chimp trek. It is also possible to drive to Kampala or Entebbe after the chimpanzee trek at Kalinzu forest
We will transfer to Kigali immediately after the chimpanzee trekking at the Kalinzu forest reserve.
