Experience one of the most popular adventures in Bali with an early morning trek to the summit of Mount Batur. This guided sunrise hike takes you to the top of an active volcano where you can witness a spectacular sunrise above the clouds and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Batur.
Your journey begins in the early morning with a hotel pickup (optional), followed by a scenic drive to the starting point at the foot of Mount Batur. Meet your experienced local trekking guide and begin the hike under the stars with flashlights lighting the path.
The trek takes approximately 1.5–2 hours to reach the summit. Once at the top, relax and enjoy a simple breakfast while watching the sun rise over the volcanic landscape. On clear days you can see Mount Agung, the highest volcano in Bali, and the beautiful caldera surrounding Lake Batur.
After sunrise, explore the crater area and learn about the volcanic history of Mount Batur before descending back to the base camp.

Meeting and pickup
Hotel pickup is available from most areas in Bali for travelers who select the option with transfer. Pickup time is usually between 01:30 AM – 03:00 AM, depending on your hotel location and traffic conditions.
