Finish off the day with visits to 2 of the most iconic religious sites of Yangon - Chauk That Gyi Pagoda & Shwedagon Pagoda.

    8:30AM: Meet up our tour guide at meeting point - The Immanuel Baptist Church (next to the Mahabandoola Garden near Yangon city hall) then your trip starts to walk around colonial era buildings of Yangon, where you will have chance to explore the local life of Burmese, take amazing photos of a nearby temple from its outside with hundreds of images depicting mythological scenes. Passing a couple of alleyways crammed with food stalls and markets. You’ll pass the High Court Building, the grand Inland Water Transport offices and even grander Myanmar Port Authority building until you’ll reach Strand Road. Finish at the 19th street of China Town before heading to Kalaywatawya Monastery to see monastic ways of lives and to see Buddhist monks lining up and eating together for lunch. Continue proceed to Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda (other name as Chauk That Gyi Pagoda) to see a 70 meter long reclining Buddha statue around the size of a blue whale. In the afternoon, you continue uptown in order to make a quick stop by the Royal Lake located in Kandawgyi Park which is very popular with local residents, especially in the early morning and around sunset. Catch a view of Karaweik Hall, a reproduction of a royal barge and enjoy a spectacular view of the Golden Shwedagon Pagoda. Go ahead to the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. Although the origin of the pagoda is unclear, the local legend has that this pagoda was rendered 2500 years ago and been through several renovations till its current shape in the 15th century. The 8-sided central stupa is 99 meters in height, gilded with gold leaves and is surrounded by 64 smaller stupas, which your guide will show and explain you all about the massive complex, the reason why this temple is so revered. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point. The trip ends when you say good bye to your tour guide at The Immanuel Baptist Church.
