What to expect

Learn how to make your own luxurious, handmade soaps with cold process soap making! This fun and informative class is perfect for beginners aged 16 and up. You'll learn the basics of cold process soap making, including how to choose the right ingredients, measure and combine them, and create your own unique soap recipes. Cold Process is the method of making soap from raw ingredients like shea butter, oil, and lye. You will be instructed in the basic chemical process, safety tips and practices, proper handling of lye, and how to customize color and fragrance. ​​By the end of class you will have a soap loaf that you will take home to dry, cut and cure. Participants will be given instructions on how to finalize the process at home.
