  Walk up to the iconic red-domed Nazaré Lighthouse, safely perched inside the 16th-century Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo. This historic stronghold once defended the coast against pirates, but today it serves as a global surfing museum and the ultimate panoramic viewpoint. Take in the breathtaking contrast between the wild, untamed swells of the north beach and the calm, golden crescent of Nazaré’s main town beach to the south.

  Journey inland to the enchanting, fully walled town of Óbidos, famously gifted by Portuguese kings to their queens. Enter through the majestic city gates and lose yourself in a labyrinth of pristine whitewashed houses draped in vibrant bougainvillea. Walk the historic cobblestone lanes, browse artisan handicraft shops, and immerse yourself in real medieval history. Before leaving, we’ll stop to taste the legendary Ginjinha, a delicious local cherry liqueur served in an edible chocolate cup.

  Castelo de Obidos

  Marvel at the imposing Castelo de Óbidos, officially named one of the "Seven Wonders of Portugal." Originally built as a Roman stronghold and later refined by the Moors, this masterfully preserved 12th-century limestone citadel dominates the Silver Coast skyline. Walk along parts of the ancient curtain walls, take in commanding views over the surrounding vineyards, and capture incredible photos of a living medieval fortress.
