Floral Embroidery Workshop, Watercolor or Herbarium Style

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English and 1 more

This workshop invites you to explore two unique approaches to floral embroidery — stitching over a hand-painted watercolour canvas or creating a golden botanical silhouette. Both styles combine simple, beautiful stitches with delicate beadwork, allowing beginners to achieve professional-looking results. Set in an intimate garden close to the vineyards, the experience blends creativity with the relaxing atmosphere of nature. Guided by an expert artisan, you’ll work with high-quality threads, Japanese Miyuki beads, and miniature sequins, then frame your finished piece in a complimentary embroidery hoop to take home. The session ends with a tasting of local wines and a light buffet, making it as much a sensory pleasure as an artistic one.

What to expect

During this workshop you will embroider on a watercolor painted canvas, defining the shape of the subject by bringing out its silhouette through your stitches and decorating it with Japanese Miyuki beads, miniature paillettes and couvettes of similar shade to the subject of choice. You will cut your work out from the fabric to frame into a gifted embroidery hoop.

1. Watercolour Embroidery

Stitch over a hand-painted watercolour canvas
Use the stem stitch to define the subject’s silhouette
Add decorative details with beads and sequins in harmonious colours
Finish your work framed in a complimentary embroidery hoop (or your own frame)

2. Herbarium

Embroider the silhouette of a botanical subject using chain stitch and stem stitch
Decorate with Japanese Miyuki beads, miniature sequins, and couvettes in matching tones
Finish your work framed in a complimentary embroidery hoop (or your own frame)

Both options include a final tasting with a light buffet, and you’ll also enjoy a relaxing creative break during the experience. No previous embroidery experience is needed — your instructor will guide you step by step.
