Come hungry and discover Querétaro through its food, history, and people on this three-hour adventure through the city's gorgeous UNESCO World Heritage historic center.
We'll take you beyond the obvious tourist stops to locally loved places and flavors. You'll enjoy authentic Mexican food, regional specialties, traditional drinks, and a few surprises, plus tequila "the authentic way" in a traditional cantina.
But this isn't only about eating. David, your local guide who's called Querétaro home for 25+ years, brings the city to life through its history, architecture, plazas, churches, and monuments. You'll discover details you might otherwise miss and stories that helped shape Querétaro and Mexico.

Meeting and pickup
We'll meet in front of Restaurante Las Monjas on Calle Ezequiel Montes. Your guide will be waiting for you outside the restaurant.

We begin at Las Monjas, where food and history immediately come together. Once part of a convent, the building still has its original kitchen in use today. We'll learn about its fascinating past and pick up a traditional sweet before continuing into the historic center.

We'll enjoy our first taste in Jardín Guerrero while discovering the history of this beautiful plaza and its surroundings. Here, the story of Querétaro's convents continues as we explore how they helped shape the city we see today.

This section is where the food adventure really gets going. Step into a traditional Querétaro cantina, hidden down a pedestrian street, for tequila served the authentic way alongside a classic botana. We'll then continue to some of our favorite local food spots and historical landmarks.

Continue through Querétaro's UNESCO World Heritage historic center, sampling local flavors as we go. Explore the plaza and surrounding streets while discovering churches, historic buildings, monuments, and details you might otherwise walk straight past.

Finish in the heart of historic Querétaro at beautiful Plaza de Armas. Surrounded by some of the city's most remarkable colonial architecture, this plaza has been at the center of Querétaro's story for centuries. We'll discover the people, buildings, and events that shaped this part of the city, including its connections to Mexico's Independence movement, and point out some fascinating details that are easy to miss. It's the perfect place to bring together the food, history, and stories we've discovered along the way.
