  Zhinvali Water Reservoir

  Stop At: At 9:00am I will pick you up at your hotel in Tbilisi. The route will take over the Georgian Military Highway up North towards the border with Russia. Your first stop will be at Ananuri complex a former residence of Argveti Dukes. Complex featuring churches and towers dating back to the XVI-XVII cc. is beautifully overlooking Jinvali reservoir. Continue our drive to see the conjunction of two small mountain rivers famous for the fact that being different in color they still keep their own colors even after merge. We will then drive over the Cross pass and make a short stop at Soviet time “People’s Friendship” mountain view point overlooking a deep gorge of Caucasus mountain range. In Kazbegi , we will continue the way to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church located on altitude of 2170 m, and enjoy breathtaking views of glacier Kazbegi. after walking you will be hungry, so we can visit Rooms hotels restaurant, which is an amazing spot in kazbegi. back to Tbilisi.   Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble

  Ananuri Fortress Complex - a fortress of the feudal era (XVI-XVIII centuries) near the village of Ananuri. It is located in eastern Georgia, in Dusheti municipality of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, on the historical side of Mtiuleti, on the Georgian military road, at the beginning of Zhinvali reservoir, at 900 meters above sea level.
