  Next, you will visit the magnificent Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the main residence of the Mughal emperors for nearly a century. Entering through the Amar Singh Gate, your guide will take you through the royal palaces and courtyards while explaining the history of the Mughal Empire. You will explore Jahangir’s Palace, known for its impressive blend of Hindu and Central Asian architecture, followed by the Diwan-i-Aam where the emperor addressed the public. The Diwan-i-Khas was used for private meetings with foreign ambassadors and important guests. You will also see the beautiful Khas Mahal, the Anguri Bagh royal garden, and the Musamman Burj – the marble tower where Shah Jahan was kept under house arrest by his son Aurangzeb.   Panch Mahal - Fatehpur Sikri

  Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital of the Mughal Empire, is a beautifully preserved 16th-century city built by Emperor Akbar. Your tour begins at the Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world, built to celebrate Akbar’s victory over Gujarat. You will then visit the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, followed by the white marble Tomb of the Sufi saint Salim Chishti, where visitors come to make wishes. The guided walk continues to the Diwan-i-Khas, famous for its unique central pillar where Akbar held discussions on different religions. You will see the Anup Talao, which was used for musical performances, the five-storey Panch Mahal designed for royal relaxation, the grand Jodha Bai Palace (the largest residential complex), and Birbal’s House, known for its fine carvings and architectural beauty.
