What to expect

Florence has been the world capital of leather craftsmanship for centuries. In this workshop, you won’t just watch someone make something, you’ll make it yourself.

In just a few hours, you’ll learn to cut, stitch and shape your own piece of authentic Florentine leather — a belt, a cardholder, a passport cover— using the same techniques that local master craftsmen have passed down through generations.

No experience needed. Just curiosity.

The workshop takes place inside a stunning 15th-century Renaissance palace owned by the same Florentine noble family for over five centuries, and still their private home today. Walking through those doors, you’re not just attending a class. You’re stepping into living history: the same walls, the same courtyards, the same atmosphere that surrounded the great artists and merchants of the Renaissance. Far from the crowds, far from the tourist trail, this is Florence as very few ever get to experience it.

By the end of the session, you’ll take home something you won’t find in any shop: a piece made with your own hands, in one of the most extraordinary spaces in Florence.
