This 10-hour excursion starts along the international road of Bolivia and across the Valley of LLuta. You will see picturesque settlements of archaeological interest: LLuta´s Geographs, Poconchile village and its church of 17th Century, Ravine of Cardones and its 13 feet (4 m) high candelabrum cacti. Also Pukará of Copaquilla a pre-incaic defensive village, Tambo of Zapahuira and a panoramic view of Socoroma and Putre.

    Humedal del Rio Lluta

    The excursion begins taking the international road to Bolivia, entering the Lluta Valley. In order to reach the perfect place to appreciate nature and culture in all its dimensions. During the ascent you will be able to appreciate the varied flora and fauna of the area, and you will visit picturesque villages and sites of archaeological interest such as: the Geoglyphs of Lluta. Town of Poconchile, visiting its 17th century church. Quebrada de Cardones and its Cactus Candelabra four meters high. Pukara de Copaquilla Pre - Inca defensive village. Tambo de Zapahuira.

  • Tambo de Zapahuira (Pass by)

    The tambo de Zapahuira is an archaeological complex located in the commune of Putre, belonging to the Region of Arica and Parinacota, in northern Chile. It is of Inca origin, and is composed of a row of adjacent rectangular enclosures, joined by small doors. At 150 m from the tambo there are two funerary chullpas, which are rectangular towers built in adobe. It has been declared a National Monument since 1983.

  • Pukara de Copaquilla (Pass by)

    The Pucara de Copaquilla is a pre-Hispanic fortress located in the commune of Putre. The archaeological complex is located north-east of Arica at 3000 meters above sea level, located on a cliff surrounded by cliffs and defended by a double parallel wall. Inside there are about 400 enclosures with circular walls and a stone floor, probably corrals or defensive parapets. It dates back to the 12th century and has been declared a National Monument since 1983. It was restored by the University of Tarapacá in 1979.

    Parque Nacional Lauca

    Entrance to Lauca National Park, true sanctuary of nature surrounded by volcanoes and snow-capped mountains such as Parinacota, Pomerape, Quimsachatas and Guallatire Volcano with its permanent fumaroles, where animals such as Guanacos, Alpacas, Vicunas, Llamas and Vizcachas stand out.

    Lago Chungara

    In its spectacular landscapes, the Bofedales, the Llareta, the Paja Brava and the Cotacotani Lagoons stand out, with their wonderful green color. At 4500 M.S.N.M Lake Chungara is imposed with an impressive landscape of the Chilean Altiplano and varied avifauna such as giant taguas, ducks and pink flamingos.
