3Museo Corbeta Esmeralda
The Esmeralda corvette was the only warship built as such in the Chilean Navy at the beginning of the Spanish-South American War (1865-1866), the first with propulsion to vapornotas and propeller. He was protagonist of several events in the history of Chile, the most important perhaps were the retention of the American merchant Sportsman, the naval support in the Revolution of 1859, the capture of the schooner Covadonga during the Spanish-South American war, etc.
