Slovenia is world-famous for its karst landscape — and the best way to experience it is underground. This Slovenian Underground tour combines UNESCO-listed caves, hidden karst valleys, amazing castle visit and unique natural phenomena into one unforgettable day.
We travel from Ljubljana to the spectacular Škocjan Caves, one of the most impressive underground canyons in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Massive underground chambers, roaring rivers, and dramatic rock formations create an experience that feels more like entering another world than visiting a cave.
After the cave, we continue into the wild karst nature of Rakov Škocjan Regional Park, where collapsing caves formed a surreal valley with natural bridges, sinkholes, and disappearing rivers.
This tour is family-friendly and perfect for nature lovers who want more than standard sightseeing.
Group size is limited to a maximum of 4 guests for a personal experience. Larger groups are welcome as private tours.

We drive from Ljubljana and before the Škocjan cave visit, we go to Rakov Škocjan and learn about the mysterious life of karstic rivers in the Rakov Škocjan regional park, first proclaimed protected landscape in Slovenia. Short walk to the caves and river Reka.

2Skocjanske Jame
After Rakov Škocjan, we visit Škocjan caves, mysterious karst world which has no shortage of natural wonders. Two hour group guided tour inside in english language with local cave guides. The exceptional volume of the underground canyon, many waterfalls and underground halls is what distinguishes the Škocjan Caves from other caves and places. This underground marvel, natural and cultural site inscribed on the UNESCO world heritage list, continue to impress visitors with their unique beauty. *Note there are 400 stairs in the cave.

3Predjama Castle
On the way back toward Ljubljana, we offer an optional stop at the remarkable Predjama Castle, dramatically built into a 123-meter-high cliff. Entrance tickets are not included in the tour price but can be purchased on site if you wish to explore the castle interior. This is also time for lunch.

Optional in the summer months, that we return to Ljubljana through the Ljubljana Marshes, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, as a unique landscape at the doorstep of Ljubljana. Here you can block out the bustle of the city, meet with nature and focus on yourself and your thoughts.
