Huaca Pucllana is a pre-Inca ceremonial center, built by the Lima Culture around 200–700 AD. It was used as a religious, administrative, and ceremonial site — possibly dedicated to water worship and social rituals. The site features a massive adobe pyramid, made from thousands of hand-shaped adobe bricks set in a “bookshelf” vertical style. Later cultures, like the Wari, used the site for elite burials, which were discovered in modern excavations.
