Overview
We will make sure you enjoy each tribe as much as you want. In the brief program below, you will be visiting at least 4 different tribes: Mursi, Hammer, Karo, Dassanech. We will also try to take you to Banna and Ari, but it depends on the time and days you arrive.
Market includes Key’Afer and Demekka: you will visit all markets possible during the tour. Ceremonies, we cannot guarantee you a Bull-jumping festival because it depends on their program: usually it happens and you need to be a little lucky to see it so we do not include that in the price.

Up on your arrival we can meet at jinka airport then we can drive to Turmi to visit the hamer tribes village.
After breakfast, drive from Turmi to visit the fascinating Dassanech tribe, who live along the banks of the Omo River near the Kenya border. Known for their resilience and unique way of life in a harsh environment, the Dassanech people are skilled pastoralists and fishermen. You will have the opportunity to interact with the community, learn about their traditions, and observe their distinctive hairstyles, body decorations, and village structures. After the visit, enjoy the scenic drive back to Turmi, passing through beautiful landscapes and remote villages. Overnight in Turmi.
In the morning we can drive to karo from Turmi. Karo tribes are well known by body elaborate paintings and they are pastoralists living in east bank of omo river,after we visit karo village we can drive back to turmi. After lunch we can drive to Hamer village.
After breakfast, depart from Turmi and drive towards Jinka, with a cultural stop to visit the Arbore tribe. The Arbore people are known for their peaceful lifestyle, strong community bonds, and distinctive traditions, including intricate beadwork and unique hairstyles. You’ll have time to walk through their village, interact with locals, and learn about their daily life and customs. Continue the journey to Jinka, enjoying the changing landscapes of the Omo Valley along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and relax for the evening. Overnight in Jinka.
After an early breakfast, drive to Mago National Park to visit the unique Mursi tribe. The Mursi are well known for their distinctive lip plates worn by women and their strong cultural identity. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to experience their traditional way of life, observe their customs, and interact with the community. After the visit, return to Jinka and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel or enjoy some last-minute shopping and sightseeing in the city. End of tour.
