The trek begins in Managher Village, located at an altitude of 2,100 meters in the Jabal Al-Akither Mountain. From there, we ascend to Qarn Wakan at 2,300 meters, before descending to Wakan Village, situated at 1,500 meters. Along the route, hikers will be treated to breathtaking views of Omani mountain farms and the scenic landscape surrounding Wakan Village. The total hike spans 8 kilometers and typically takes between 4 to 6 hours to complete. Following the invigorating trek, participants will have the opportunity to relax and unwind in Wakan Village, savoring traditional Omani coffee with locals and engaging in a shooting activity. After a delightful traditional breakfast, the hike begins from Wakan Village, continuing towards Suwgra Village, located in the Jabal Al-Akither mountain range. The route offers stunning panoramic views of the Al-Hajer Mountains as we ascend from an altitude of 1,500 meters to 1,900 meters. This challenging hike spans approximately 10 kilometers and takes around 6 to 8 hours to complete. The day concludes with an overnight stay in the charming Suwgra Village, offering a peaceful respite after the day's adventure.
After a hearty breakfast, we prepare our backpacks and set off on the longest hike of the journey, departing from Suwgra Village towards Al-Alia Village. Along the way, we’ll pass through a stunning canyon, offering the opportunity to swim in one of the pristine blue pools nestled within the canyon. Continuing the hike, we’ll pass through Darr Village, one of the oldest and most remote villages in Oman, accessible only by foot, adding a sense of adventure and history to our journey. The trek covers a distance of 12 kilometers and takes approximately 6 to 8 hours to complete.
