We depart from Longreach at 6.30am Depending on your pick-up point). Our air-conditioned coach tour travels the 180 kilometres from Longreach to Winton Our coach ride will take approximately 120 minutes
Winton is a town that holds a special place in local history and pre-history. Winton is known for its dinosaur fossils and the award-winning Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum is one of the highlights of the tour – an opportunity to learn more about the amazing creatures that once walked this part of the world. You will visit the Collection Room and do the Dinosaur Canyon Tour.
Winton Opal Gems, located in Winton's main street is an experience in Outback Australia that you don't want to miss.
At midday, you’ll enjoy lunch at the legendary North Gregory Hotel, which originally opened in 1879 and where Banjo Paterson is said to have first performed Waltzing Matilda.
Visit the Waltzing Matilda Centre.
At 2.00pm we depart Winton and return to Longreach by air-conditioned coach. Our arrival time in Longreach is approximately 4.00pm
