2 hours (approximately)

The guided tour starts with the visit of the impressive Flavian Amphitheater, the third in size in Italy, to visit the arena floor where gladiators once fought and the undergrounds once used for the cages of the wild beasts. Then you will reach the promontory of Rione Terra, corresponding to the first Greek-Roman settlement of Pozzuoli. Here you see the outside of the Cathedral, built above the ruins of the old Capitolium, the main temple of the Roman city dedicated to the cult of emperor Augustus. At the end you will reach the port area, to see the ruins of the Roman Macellum, wrongly identified as the temple of Serapis.
