  This is the ultimate spot to hang out and people-watch.   Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzman

  If you see only one church in Oaxaca, make it this one. The outside is stunning, but once you step inside, your jaw will drop—the entire ceiling is covered in actual 24-karat gold leaf. It is easily one of the most beautiful places in all of Mexico. We'll tell you the wild history of the monks who built it and make sure you get the best views of its gorgeous golden interior.

  Right next to the Soledad Basilica, this is a big, beautiful stone amphitheater where the city hosts massive concerts, food festivals, and traditional dance shows.
