Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to see bears and other native animals, then journey through the scenic Portage Glacier area with high hanging glaciers , perfect for capturing breathtaking photos and, during certain seasons, witnessing the salmon spawn. Afterward, relax in Girdwood with a local brewery tour and tasting at the base of Alyeska Ski Resort. At the brewery they have some great food trucks. Seasonal highlights may include spotting Beluga whales or the captivating Bore Tide.

    Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

    After picking up at hotels, as we drive through downtown Anchorage point out some historical sites. We had to turn it arm with a scenic drive, looking for wildlife. As we head towards the Girdwood area, and to the Alaska Wildlife conservation center, where we will watch and see a lot of Alaskan animals. We will spend some time there. Then we head to Portage Glacier to Chugach National Forest. For some great scenic photo opportunities. And some great surprises, and afterwards we go to Girdwood for beer tastings. Please have an ID for Beer tasting. Cheers!
