White travertine terraces, ancient ruins, and thermal landscapes come together on this full-day Pamukkale tour from Izmir. Lasting approximately 12 hours, the program combines guided exploration, lunch, free time, and local experiences.
Begin at Hierapolis, one of the most important settlements of the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Explore its archaeological remains and admire the recently restored theatre while learning about the city’s history from a professional guide.
Continue to Pamukkale, the famous “Cotton Castle,” where mineral-rich thermal waters have shaped brilliant white travertine terraces over centuries. During the free time, guests may enter the permitted sections of the travertines, walk through the warm thermal water, or visit Cleopatra’s Antique Pool for an additional entrance fee paid on site.
A scheduled lunch break is included, followed by free time to visit a local jewelry, leather, carpet, or ceramic center. The tour concludes with the return journey to Izmir.
