Unlike many of the Game of Thrones themed tours in Dubrovnik that run group departures, OUR TOUR is COMPLETELY PRIVATE.

All of our six guides are SKILLED professionals that are licensed by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism and are great fans of the Game of Thrones and the Song of Ice and Fire book series. Few of our guides are FORMER EXTRAS from the Game of Thrones so you'll have a chance to learn how your and our favorite show was filmed from first hand.

    Kolorina Bay

The picturesque Kolorina Bay (AKA The Blackwater Bay) is an important part of the tour as it poses as the setting for a dozen iconic scenes from the Game of Thrones. Though often overlooked by standard visitors, this historic suburb of the Old Town of Dubrovnik provides some of the best vistas of the majestic City Walls and the nearby Lovrijenac Fortress. Aside from checking out the GOT sites, you'll also have a chance to learn about the strategic importance of the remarkable Dubrovnik fortification system and hear some intriguing legends about the city and the surrounding area.

    Stradun

The shiny magnificent thoroughfare of the Dubrovnik historic city center is featured only in the final season of the GOT, however for the most iconic scene - the destruction of King's Landing. The Stradun (formally known as Placa) is the main street of Old Town that boasts some of the most important Dubrovnik landmarks (Franciscan Monastery's ancient pharmacy, Large Onofrio's Fountain, Sponza Palace, Church of St Blaise...) whose historic significance will be shared with you as we walk from one point to other.

    Dominican Monastery

The St Dominic Street in front of the Dominican Monastery is featured three times in the show, always playing an important role. You will have a chance to witness how the budget for special effects got bigger as the filming progressed as it completely altered the perception of the same location. Lastly, you will also learn about the secret behind the "modesty barrier" (that is also featured in the Walk of Shame) and potentially sample the best ice cream in town. *Please note that the tour doesn't take you to the Dominican Monastery, but just to the St Dominic street (we won't be entering the monastery as it wasn't featured in the show, we're just stopping in front)

    Ploce Gate

The Ploce Gate and the adjacent Arms Square is another filming point that we often use to end our tours. One of the major scenes from the show played out at this point and it overlooks several other locations that were featured in the earlier seasons of the Game of Thrones. Other from that it allows for a perfect panoramic picture of the Old Town port.

    Rector's Palace

Though Dubrovnik's Old Town plays the role of King's Landing, the fictional capital of Westeros, the atrium of the Rector's Palace (the main seat of government of the medieval Dubrovnik Republic) is actually featured as a location from Qarth, which is located across the Narrow Sea. Aside from explaining how one portion of Qarth ended up in the heart of King's Landing, the guide will also explain why the ancient Dubrovnik Republic changed the governor (Rector) every month. *The Rector's Palace is now a museum that requires the payment of the entrance fee, however all the filming points inside can be easily seen from the entrance so we won't need to physically go inside.

Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola

The staircase that leads to the Jesuit church of St Ingatius is probably the best known iconic point on this tour which the Game of Thrones fans will be able to recognize in an instant. However, aside from the most obvious scene, the staircase is also used in several others that our guide will share with you. Aside from that, you will learn what the building was actually used for in the past and present.

    The Rupe Museum

The EXTERIOR of the Ethnographic museum (AKA Rupe) is used as the point where a great deal of action in King's Landing takes place - the infamous Littlefinger's Brothel. The streets around the museum are actually used as the setting for slums of fictional capital of Westeros - the Flea Bottom. The interior of the Rupe museum (which was used as the main granary for the Old Town of Dubrovnik during the medieval times) is not featured in the show, but the streets around it are.

    Dubrovnik City Shop

The site where the Iron Throne is located in the Old Town of Dubrovnik. This place is usually reserved for the end of the tour, but since we often take detours in order to avoid the crowds so the visit to this point might be arranged in the middle of tour.
