After you have visited old Delhi next visit, Raj Ghat An elementary square platform of black marble on the banks of Yamuna River symbolizes the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated followed by his assassination in 1948. A dedicatory ritual takes place each Friday, in his memory.
Stop for photos at India Gate which is a War Memorial in memory of the soldiers who lost their lives during the First World War. An eternal flame burns night and day to commemorate the brave soldiers who lost their lives fighting in the India-Pakistan War of 1971.
Stop for photos at Presidential Palace official home of the President of India. The splendour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan is multi-dimensional. its vast mansion and architecture are breathtaking.
Drive around The Parliament House which was designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker. It is one of the most impressive buildings in New Delhi. The Parliament House where a country of 1.3 billion people is managed. The government of the largest democracy in the world sits in the parliament house.
The Humayun's tomb (Unesco world heritage site) was a very first garden-tomb in India commissioned by Humayun's first wife and chief consort, Empress Bega Begum (also known as Haji Begum),] in 1565 AD.
Finally, visit Qutub Minar (Unesco world heritage site) The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 AD. The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture & has survived the ravages of time impressively. This great masterpiece is surrounded by lush green gardens.
