As you arrive at the fort, you will see a seemingly endless flight of stairs going up the fort. Climbing these stairs, one almost feels as if the fort is a living entity, whispering tales of its colourful past. Lots of Langurs (white-bodied monkeys with a black face) have now taken up residence in the fort. While the monkeys are supposedly friendly, it’s best not to get too close to them. The fort premises also include lots of temples, including Hindu and Jain ones.
The most famous of these temples is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and it attracts hordes of pilgrims every year. The entire excursion will take around 2.5 hours. Your accompanying guide will narrate many interesting stories and anecdotes during the excursion to Ranthambore Fort. A jeep will take you to the fort and back.
Please contact 48 hours before the excursion to confirm exact time and pick up location.
Ranthambore Fort is one of the most prominent landmarks of Ranthambore National Park. Although, over 1000 years old, the fort still presents a grand picture. The ruined walls amidst the wild jungles, give it a forlorn yet royal kind of air. Those with an eye for nature will be delighted by the views from the top of the fort, which looks out on the enchanting jungles below. An absolute paradise for photography.
