The meeting point is exactly the Cantina Florio, on the Marsala seafront, in via Vincenzo Florio. The entrance has a black gate with golden writing "Cantine Florio"

What to expect

Marsala wine is one of the most renowned products of the Sicilian food and wine tradition. Don't miss the opportunity to discover its history and taste it at the famous Cantina Florio.

The grapes used for the production of Marsala grow along the coasts of Western Sicily and the goodness of the wine is fueled by the humid and salty temperature; just think that as you move away from the sea the personality of the wine also varies.

You will begin your tour with a visit to the cellars overlooking the sea and, walking among the barrel rooms, you will discover the history of Marsala wine and the production company.

You will discover how the strategic position of the cellars is able to influence the essence of the wine. The cellars are characterized by the presence of the tuff floor which allows the barrels to breathe the smell of the sea. Inside the cellars there are four different climatic environments and each of these has a different complicity with the sea, also based on their proximity to the latter.
