The catacombs attracted attention of the crusaders who arrived on the island in the 13th century. The walls and vaults of the grottoes were painted by their artists. Now unfortunately only small fragments remain. The Catacombs of St. Solomonia is the only one underground church in the world. The Paphos Castle is also known like Paphos Medivial Fort – one of the famous sight of Paphos. The castle is situated on the ancient mall in the west part of the city’s port.
