Pickup details:

Pickup is included for guests staying at the designated hotels. We advise you to be ready and waiting in the hotel reception area 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Our guides will wait approximately 5 minutes for each guest. Look out for our vans, which can be either white (smaller) or grey (larger). We strive to ensure a smooth and timely start to your adventure, though external delays can occur. If that happens, you will be updated on the day. One day before the activity, we may adjust the pickup time for your convenience.

What to expect

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation. As we head to Ribeira do Cidrão in Curral das Freiras, you’ll receive a safety briefing, gear up, and prepare for an unforgettable experience. This Level 2 canyoning tour blends adrenaline, nature, and fun, ideal for beginners and those with some experience.

The adventure starts with a short scenic walk through Madeira’s central mountain range. Ribeira do Cidrão features five rappels, the highest at 16 meters (52 feet), with thrilling jumps, swimming, and crystal-clear pools. No prior canyoning experience is needed, but physical fitness is required. Our experienced guides ensure safety while sharing insights about Madeira’s flora and fauna.

Bring a towel, bathing suit, and a change of clothes. All equipment, including a wetsuit, harness, shoes, and helmet, is provided. We’ll take a short break to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

This 5-hour activity includes transportation, equipping and de-equipping, the activity itself, canyon access, and safety briefings. It offers breathtaking waterfalls, rugged landscapes, and unforgettable moments—a perfect way to connect with Madeira’s wild beauty!
