Dong Van Karst Plateau is one of Vietnam’s special limestone areas, housing prominent imprints that depict the development of the earth’s crust. It is a spectacular place part of the UNESCO World Heritage List offering incredible mountain passes such as Ma Pi Leng Pass, rivers and ethnic villages. Dong Van Geopark is home to 17 ethnic groups, creating a unique and rich cultural heritage worth visiting.

    Ha Giang City - Quan Ba – Yen Minh

    Quan Ba Heaven Gate

    After having breakfast at your hotel, you will take an easy walk to visit Thon Tha Village, the village of the Tay people. You will have a peaceful feeling while contemplating the scenery of stilt houses with thatch roves and palm trees. Continue driving up to the highland region of Ha Giang, the scenery is getting more and more stunning with high passes and august mountains. You will have opportunities to enjoy wonderful views and take photos of Quan Ba pass and Quan Ba Heaven Gate. Arriving in Yen Minh town, you will spend the rest of the day rambling around a hill tribe village near the town. Then check in your hotel and relax. Free time in the evening.

    Yen Minh – Dong Van – Meo Vac (Karst Geopark)

    Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark

    Breakfast at your hotel driving through Dong Van Karst Geopark, a unique combination between Geo and cultural heritages. Up to 80% of the karst formations of Dong Van Plateau are limestone formed by environment conditions and different development stages of nature. On the way, the car will mark stops to take photos and enjoy amazing scenery. You will learn about the local life and the culture of the hill tribes such as the H’mong in Lung Cam village and the residence of the Vuong family also known as 'Palace of H'mong King'. After lunch, we continue driving towards Meo Vac town, marking several stops on the way to admire the scenery and take photos of Ma Pi Leng Pass. Arriving in Meo Vac, check into a local hotel and rest. Then if time permits, we will have the opportunity to visit a H'mong village near town. Dinner and overnight in Meo Vac.

    Meo Vac – Ha Giang city

    Lung Tam village

    After breakfast, we start our road trip back to Ha Giang town. If today is Sunday, you will have a colorful morning as there is a local market which takes place right in the town centre. The market gather local people who live in the karst plateau and the H'Mong ethnic minority . They trade here their domestic and farming products. This will be a great chance to hunt beautiful photos of local faces in their traditional dresses. Upon our arrival in Quan Ba, Yen Minh, we will make a stop in Lung Tam village, a H'mong village where you will learn how local villagers weave brocades. After lunch at Quan Ba, we continue our trip back to Ha Giang. Arrival in Ha Giang City around 5pm.
