Located in the jungle and surrounded by mountains and cool streams, the intimate nature of the site tends to captivate its visitors. It is believed that My Son was the religious centre of the Cham Kingdom. It was restored by the French during the 19th century but the US bombing destroyed a large part years later.
Pick-up only within Hoi An Ancient Town.
Between 7:45 am and 8:00 am, our tour begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in the center of Hoi An, followed by our departure to the historic My Son Holy Land. By approximately 9:00 am, we will have reached the My Son sanctuary, where the exploration of this ancient site commences. My Son Holy Land holds a rich history, with the towers and tombs dating from the VII century to the XIV century. However, archaeological evidence suggests that it served as the burial place for Cham kings as early as the IV century. This site boasts over 70 towers, ranging from small to large, symbolizing its significance as the religious and cultural heart of the Champa Ancient Kingdom.
Around 11:30 am, we'll move to a local house to engage in a hands-on experience, learning the art of making rice paper – a skill you can proudly use to craft your own rice paper products later. Following this, at 12:30 pm, you'll savor a delicious local lunch at the same house. At 1:30 pm, we'll embark on a picturesque journey along the Thu Bon river, navigating its waters via a motorized boat from the Cau Lau boat station. This serene boat ride offers a delightful view of the surroundings. Finally, at 2:00 pm, we'll reach Hoi An and conclude the tour by returning to your hotel via bus. Your memorable day of exploration ends here.
