Taman Negara is 130 million years old tropical rainforest home to tigers, elephants, tapirs, pythons... 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species , and scattered aborigines. 7am Depart Camerons for Taman Negara and trek to Bukit Terisek (the VIEWPOINT) for a mesmerizing view of Gunung Tahan - Malaysia's highest mountain. Then catch a boat shooting the gushing waters to reach an aborigine village. The ladies shy away and the men "run" away only to reappear with their fire making and blowpipe hunting tools for a "native" demonstration. The rainforest is their supermarket.
