Town of Kvetera used to one of the center of the Principality of Kakheti. According to Vakhushti Bagrationi, Kvetera dates back at least to 8th century AD

Gergeti Trinity Church - a popular name for Holy Trinity Church near the village of Gergeti in Georgia. The church is situated at an elevation of 2170 meters, under Mount Kazbegi. It was built in the 14th century. The British Newspaper The Telegraph has published a list featuring the world’s most stunning churches. Among the 23 selected buildings Georgia’s Gergeti Trinity Church comes in the sixth place.
