This towering structure, part of an ambitious mosque project left unfinished by Sultan Yacoub al-Mansour, stands as a testament to the city’s medieval heritage and aspirations. Nearby, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V offers a glimpse into Morocco’s more recent history, its immaculate white silhouette honoring the legacy of the nation’s revered kings and their role in achieving independence.

Wander through the Kasbah of the Udayas, a fortress that once guarded the city against invasions and now serves as a peaceful neighborhood with Andalusian-style gardens.
