    For the characteristic medieval architecture of its old town, it has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. San Gimignano is especially famous for its medieval towers that still stand out over its panorama, which earned it the nickname of Manhattan of the Middle Ages. Of the 72 towers and tower-houses, existing in the heyday of the Municipality, twenty-five remained in 1580 and today there are fourteen. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the charming village on foot.
