Gillette Restroom Break Explore Devil’s Tower with us this morning! The tower rises 1,267 feet above the valley, the hexagonal columns that make up the tower are truly unique and rare, and the tallest in the world! The tower is also featured in the famous movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” Our next stop is the most famous icon of the United States at the Mt. Rushmore National Memorial! George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln, look down from their stony height and remind everyone even impossible is possible! Finally, we will arrive at Crazy Horse Indian Memorial and sightsee the world’s largest mountain carving: Crazy Horse! We will also be staying overnight in Casper. Crazy Horse Memorial Sightseeing and Museum The Crazy Horse Memorial, located in the Black Hills of South Dakota, honors the Native American warrior Crazy Horse. It is an ongoing sculpture project, set to be the largest of its kind, depicting Crazy Horse riding a horse. Visitors can learn about Native American culture and the history behind the monument at the nearby museum and visitor center.
Today we will begin our journey by driving to the Independent Rock State Historic Site! Independence Rock was a key landmark for pioneers as they picked their way across the American frontier. Hundreds of names have been carved into the hard stone over the years. Following, we will drive to Salt Lake City and visit the Capitol Hill which is also known as the most expensive and magnificent State House the United States! Then, we will take a walk in the State Capitol building to be amazed by the surrounding architecture, sculptures, and the rich historical information. Next up will be Temple Square! We will take a look and follow the Mormon Missionary sisters’ lead to see the virtue kingdom at the LDS church to learn about the history and teachings of the LDS Church. Itinerary: Casper → Independent Rock (60 mins) → Salt Lake City → Utah State Capitol (30 mins) → Temple Square (45 mins)

It is a large, isolated granite formation, known for its role as a milestone for pioneers traveling west. Covered in inscriptions and names left by travelers, it holds historical significance as a symbol of perseverance.
Utah State Capitol Sightseeing The Utah State Capitol, located in Salt Lake City, is an impressive neoclassical building perched on Capitol Hill. It houses the state’s legislative and executive offices, offering stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains. Temple Square Sightseeing Temple Square in Salt Lake City is the spiritual and cultural heart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
