Discover Niagara Falls after dark on a half-day evening tour designed around the illuminated cascades. As night falls, coloured floodlights sweep across the water, giving Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and American Falls a very different character than they have by day. Head into Niagara Falls State Park and walk out to Goat Island and Luna Island, two vantage points in the middle of the river that bring you close to the brink of all three falls. Your guide leads a 2.5-hour walk through the park's quietest hours, when the crowds have thinned and the mist catches the light. On scheduled evenings, fireworks over the gorge cap the night. Departing from Buffalo with hotel pickup and return, this evening journey is ideal for travelers who want the falls at their most atmospheric.

1Niagara Falls State Park
Head into Niagara Falls State Park after dark and walk out to Goat Island and Luna Island for views of all three falls from the middle of the river. Goat Island (Pass by)
The largest of the three falls, curving across the Canada-U.S. border, where roughly 90 percent of the Niagara River pours over the crest. After dark it takes the full weight of the coloured floodlights.

The narrowest of the three, separated from the American Falls by Luna Island, its thin sheet of water lit from below at night.

- The Maid of the Mist will be open to the public from mid April to the end of October (depending on the freezing conditions of the river). After the boat is closed, the itinerary will be replaced by the Old Fort Niagara and Lake Ontario (including tickets, 60 mins).
- Travelers under 18 must be with an adult. Pregnant travelers allowed if under 24 weeks.
- Tour duration includes visit times, travel, traffic, and driving between locations.
