There's a side of Cozumel the cruise crowd never sees. Most excursions stay on the developed west side; we take you all the way around the island.
You ride in a private vehicle, Jeep, MiniVan or Van, whichever you choose. The heart of the day is Punta Sur Eco Park: climb the Celarain Lighthouse, watch for crocodiles from the lagoon tower, and get real beach time on quiet protected sand. We pass the Mojito Factory and Tierra Maya along the way — say the word and your guide will stop. Then back through the Plaza de las Dos Culturas and the heart of downtown San Miguel.
And the one thing we plan before anything else is your ship's all-aboard time. The whole route is built backward from it, so you can enjoy the island instead of watching the clock.

Coconuts Bar is Cozumel’s highest bar, perched on a cliff with stunning ocean views. Known for its lively vibe, strong drinks, and island charm—it’s a Tierra Maya is a small family-run sanctuary of living Mayan traditions, 15 minutes from the cruise port — not a museum and not a show. You'll meet the family, see the volcanic stone metate where ceremonial cacao is still ground and the clay comal where tortillas are pressed by hand, and meet the endangered Melipona stingless bees that produce the island's rarest honey. Your guide explains the story behind it all, including how the Maya solved a piece of nutritional chemistry 3,000 years before Europe understood it. A short walk through the plaza where Cozumel tells the story of its two bloodlines — Maya and Spanish — in sculpture. Your guide points out the Monumento al Mestizaje and the Monumento a la Hispanidad and explains what the figures actually mean, which pulls the whole day's history into one clear picture.
